
Duties:
Advise the Administrator of the Division of State Lands on the
development and distribution to cities and counties of information
useful to land use planning and advise the state land use planning
agency regarding the development of plans and statements of policy
concerning lands under federal management. An executive council
consisting of four members of the advisory council and the
administrator of the Division of State Lands may be used to resolve
inconsistencies between plans of adjacent jurisdictions and to
develop recommendations and regulations for Governor designated
areas of environmental concern. |

The State Land Use Planning Advisory Council (SLUPAC): SLUPAC is the
Administrator's Advisory Board on land use issues. The Governor appoints the seventeen members of SLUPAC, one from each county. SLUPAC meets several times a year to discuss land use planning issues.
The State Land Use Planning staff provides support for this council.
